How to run a program as administrator in a user account ?

How can I run a program as administrator in a user account that isn't administrator? I need this since I can't update chrome on a non administrator account . Windows 8 gives me an error but I can't find a way to start chrome as administrator. Thanks in advance.

Right click the software and select properties, then click advanced and tick the box "run as admin".

    Hello ecevit,

In addition, when you use "Run as administrator" on the program, you will be prompted by UAC to enter an administrator's password first before being allowed to do so since you are signed in to a standard user account.

If you do not know the password, then you will need to have the administrator update the program in their account.

I don't get any dialog box prompting me administrator password. An error message shows up just for a second then disappears.

Also, I didn't set up a password for built in administrator account. I just use my administrator account.

Are you able to sign in to an administrator account to update Chrome?

If you update Chrome in your administrator account, it should update it for all accounts since all accounts use the same installed Chrome. Only the personal settings in Chrome are separate per account.
