I was creating a picture password and it went through all the steps and it showed "There was a failure during the enrollment process"

What should I do?

Sfc scannow did not find any integrity violations

I tried system restore but that did not work. All the default windows app were blank. When I clicked it showed your developer license has expired. Please renew it. So I restored back again. Any idea why it would have showed up?

Still I am unable to use pic password

Note: I created another account and tried to use pic password but still I cant create one

I have one more point.

when I performed system restore I could not launch even one app. It showed developer license expired but when I reverted back it was solved.
what is the meaning of this?

For the time being I do not want to use refresh, reset option

Hi,

I had created the system image on 12th dec(ie after installing the updates).

System recovery went well and I successfully restored it.

Now I am able to use pic password. :)

Great news

After updating windows yesterday I have got the picture password problem again.
Did the updates had anything to do with security features.
What can I do??

Hello Manjunath,

You might see if doing a system restore using a restore point dated before the Windows Updates may sort it.

If so, then only install one update at a time to see which one may be the culprit. Be sure to create a restore point before installing each update to be sage though.

In that case, you might remove the picture password, and create another one to see if that may help.

I will do like this

If the os gets further damaged I will follow the above procedure.

Considering this is a minor issue.

What say?

I did a refresh today and I installed all the driver, updates and crucial software that I need.

It allowed me to create a picture password and pin.

I will test for a week and will post back and take the system Image
