trust pc problem

ok I just installed Windows 8 for XP and I am trying to trust my pc but the email I was using for my live id was one from school so long ago and does not exist so I created a new one( and now my phones messed up) and my computer and xbox go to the new live id but when I go into trusted pc it only lists my old live id and not the new one. is there a way to fix this or am I going to have to wait a month for it to delete the old live id so I can finally trust my pc. any help would be great

I got an email saying so one replied and gave me this to try

1. In “Account summary”, click on Update email address
   link.
2. In the left pane, click on Security info.
3. Under “Alternate email address”, Add your new email address
   if not already there, then Delete the old one.

I tried this already and still nothing works also when I try to add my new live id as an alternate email it says "The security info you entered is too long or contains characters that aren't allowed."

I too am having problems trusting my PC.

I have a Hotmail email address which I use however Hotmail is seemingly trying to send an email to my backup email address to verify it. This backup email address is no longer in existence so I have added a new backup email address but it seems to only want to send an email to the old one. The old one will be deleted from the records on 12 Jan 2013. Do I really have to wait until then?
