Hello Vasilis, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Family Safety is included as a part of Windows 8 by default now, and is the new replacement of Parental Controls that was in Vista and Windows 7.

Is that available in the upgrade version or in the full version? I can't seem to see it under my user account. Do I have to log in as administrator in order to set up family safety?

    Hello GhostDog,

Family Safety is available in all editions of Windows 8.

Yes, you must be signed in as an administrator to be able to setup and manage Family Safety in Windows 8.

Family Safety should still be in the Control Panel (icons view) like below though.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn
