In the end it all didnt work and I wasnt able to install the older version of driver. As always I tried the latest driver from ATI, and not even that helped sort out my issue

Thumbs up for all the help and effort again

    Regards

    Thank you.

    I'm sorry it didn't worked.
You can try the latest driver on AMD's site, was released recently:
    (assuming you use 64bit os)
    AMD Catalyst

That's why we need to look on AMD's site: AMD Graphics Drivers & Software and on MS update catalog site: catalog.update.microsoft.com

And let's hope we find the right drivers.

Theog- Thank you for reminding me about that, I will be sure to keep a close eye on those drivers and their availability.

Hopachi- I saw the latest release as well, maybe I will give that a try and see if it works, how ever I did give the beta drivers before that a try, and they didn't help much.

Long story short (and I know this may not even belong here-but just to fill you guys in) Im having the classic trouble of my graphics card freezing up during game play on the latest drivers. And when I say latest I mean any version after the ones that came on the disk with my card.

Have come to the conclusion that the later drivers cause my card to draw more amps from my PSU than what it can offer. My PSU can offer 30amps max and I read up that my card needs a continuous supply of at least 36amps.

Hence why I wanted to try and install the original drivers (the one that came on the disk with my card) on widows 8 and see if it would run.
