Hello Kenneth, and welcome to Eight Forums.

I'm sorry, but these file extensions are not included by default in the registry. What were you wanting to do?

I am trying to read these files with a program called eagle design problem is that for some reason when I copied them to windows 8 it added .doc file extension to all of the listed files and when I try open with and choose the program it opens a unreadable text file. I can not figure out how to get rid or change the .doc
    extension for these files.

Double check to make sure that you have known file extensions set to show.
Normally, you should be able to just rename the file and arrow over to the right of the . in the name to rename the file extension as well.

Did you use a program to copy them, or was it just a normal copy and paste in explorer?

The method for Windows 7 can be used in Windows 8 as well, but glad you got it sorted.

Thank you so much! Although now the file opens with Windows Photo Viewer, is that okay? Before the .dds files would look blank
