    WI Problem again
This fix worked , but had to wind my PC back a few days, having cut and paste issues from Gmail into word and having tried everything I could think of restored PC to earlier time.[ I have a tread about that too on going...

The WI file mis- association has returned, so I simply did what I did the first time copied reg file to desktop click merge re started pc but the file association has not returned back to as it did the last time. was the reg file a one time only use? I can not see why it would be, but checked that the reg file was associated with regedit - which it is.
wondering if any of this linked?
    but can not see how...

    Stu,

The .reg file from the post above should unassociate .wi files to not have a default program anymore afterwards. Try again making sure that you approve each prompt while merging. Saying "No" or "Cancel" to either one would cause it to not work.

Worked this time... I am such a Muppet..

I don't know how good you are at other stuff[suspect you are good though] - but if you have time ? see my other post re cut and paste.

To this day I don't know how these things happen, I also have Acronis and don't us it I should I could then go back a step at time until everything works fine again. whish I will when the cut and paste issue is resolved

    Many thanks again
    Stuart

Are you still adding to this list? If so, could you please add .msi files?

    Thank You
