How to Display Full Path in Title Bar of File Explorer in Windows 8 and 8.1

This tutorial will show you how to display either the name or full path of an opened folder in the title bar of File Explorer in only your user account in Windows 8.
Unlike previous versions of Windows, this will work no matter what theme you are using.

EXAMPLE: Name or Full Path in Title Bar of File Explorer
OPTION ONE
To Display Name or Full Path in File Explorer Title Bar using Folder Options
1. Open Folder Options, click/tap on the View tab, and do step 2 or 3 below for what you would like to do.
2. To Display Name of Opened Folder in File Explorer Title Bar
NOTE: This is the default setting.
A) Check the Display the full path in the title bar conflicts box, and click/tap on OK.
3. To Display Full Path of Opened Folder in File Explorer Title Bar
A) Uncheck the Display the full path in the title bar box, and click/tap on OK.
OPTION TWO
To Display Name or Full Path in File Explorer Title Bar using a REG File Download
Note
The .reg files below are for the registry key and value below.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState
FullPath DWORD
0 = display name
1 = display full path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CabinetState

1 = display full path
1. Do step 2 or 3 below for what you would like to do.
2. To Display Name of Opened Folder in File Explorer Title Bar
NOTE: This is the default setting.
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below.
Display_Folder_Name_in_Windows_Explorer_Title_Bar.reg
B) Go to step 4 below.
3. To Display Full Path of Opened Folder in File Explorer Title Bar
A) Click/tap on the Download button below to download the file below.
Display_Full_Path_in_Windows_Explorer_Title_Bar.reg
B) Go to step 4 below.
4. Save the .reg file to the desktop.
5. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to Merge it.
6. If prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK.
7. When finished, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
