    Hello Danny,

Just to be certain, this will only show on the lock screen after locking (Windows+L) your computer, and not before or after signing out of your account.

In addition, you would also need to do step 4 in OPTION ONE for the selected app to display detailed status on the lock screeen.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Shawn

Yes done all you suggested and still nothing with either the mail or weather apps, but I've also just noticed the live tiles for these are not working from within windows 8 either although the apps themselves work fine and are set to show live tiles and other live tiles are ok also. Related possibly???

It sure looks like they are related. While having live tile updates turned on for them, open say the Weather app to have it set to show weather for your location and close it to see if the tile updates start showing afterwards. I find that you usually have to open the app at least once and have it setup before they show if you haven't already.

To bad you can only get one "detailed" app to show on the lock screen though.
