How to Adjust Volume Levels in Windows Phone 8 and 8.1

This tutorial will show you how to adjust the volume level settings of items up and down to what you want in Windows Phone 8 and 8.1.

1. Press the volume up + or volume down - button.

2. Continue to press the volume up + or volume down - button until the volume level (0 to 30) is set to what you want. (see screenshot below)

1. Press the volume up + or volume down - button, and do step 2 or 3 below for what you would like to do.

2. Continue to press the volume up + or volume down - button until the Ringer + Notifications volume level (0 to 10) is set to what you want. (see screenshot below)

3. Tap on the Open volume bar Name:  volume-bar-open-icon_InvariantCulture_Default.png

A) Move the volume slider(s) left (- volume) or right (+ volume) to adjust the volume levels of each item to what you want.

Depending on what you're doing, you'll see one or more of the following:

In-call Name:  in-call-volume-icon_InvariantCulture_Default.png

Size:  1.2 KB to mute or unmute.)

Media + Apps (tap Name:  volume-bar-media-icon_InvariantCulture_Default.png

Size:  4.5 KB to mute or unmute.)

Headphones (tap Name:  headphones-volume-icon_InvariantCulture_Default.png
Views: 1492
Size:  1.5 KB to mute or unmute.)

Views: 1490
Size:  3.1 KB to mute or unmute.)



B) When finished, tap on the Close volume bar Name:  volume-bar-close-icon_InvariantCulture_Default.png
