    Hello Brink,
In my 64-bit Windows 8.1 I have tried to also change the SortOrderIndex value from 84 to 56 (in decimals) in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Classes\CLSID\{031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}. However, this is not possible because the Administrators group is not allowed "Full control" of this key. Please explain how I can make this work.

Or else can you post a .reg file for moving Libraries above This PC in 64-bit Windows 8.1 like you did in This PC - Add or Remove "Folders" in Windows 8.1

    Thanks.

Hello NOS, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You would first need to change the owner of the {031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5} key at the location you posted or the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5} location to be "Administrators". Afterwards, set permissions of this key to "Allow" "Administrators" "Full control". You should then be able to modify the "SortOrderIndex" DWORD.

    Hello again Brink,

After taking ownership of the key I was able to modify the "SortOrderIndex". Thanks for your great help.
