sfc /scannow finders errors it cannot fix.

    what is my next step?
Hello Qdeathstart, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Are you able to run DISM in an elevated command prompt instead?

What does it report in the command prompt with the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command?

Just to check. Have you already restarted the computer and ran SFC a few more times, possible at boot if needed, to see if SFC may be able to repair them?

I have ran sfc at least four times and reinstarted each time.

when I restart, I get a " preparing windows" screen for about a half hour before the computer resets and boots back up.

ive also an sfc in safe mode.

In that case, you may need to refresh Windows.

Hello, quick question. Since getting my new desktop and after past experiences, I've been running SFC/DISM once a week (or eight, nine days) just to make sure nothing's wrong and to keep an active restore point where I know everything's fine. There isn't any harm I can do by running either on a weekly basis, is there?
