    Windows 8.1 Single Language

    Thanks.

And yes, I let the installer create the partitions it needed.

QUESTION: Was the file supossed to weight 3.31GB?? Because other users downloaded a 3.61 GB ISO.. This has me a little bit worried to be honest. The computer works fine, except at first for a problem with the brightness settings, I couldn't turn the brightness up or down (but it fix itself a few minutes ago, weird).

    64-bit Windows 10

The size of the ISO file will vary depending on included languages and if it's 32-bit or 64-bit.

    Windows 8.1 Single Language

I know, mine is 64-bit Single Language in Spanish. I guess the language has something to do with it. I'll just accept it, the computer works fine anyway..

My last thanks, this thread saved my ***.

ok this tool is very useful to bad they don't slipstream the updates into the file windows 8.1 download (still 122 ish updates)

if the drive is say 1TB it can be good idea to spit it 50/50 so your OS stays at the faster part of the disk (own preference really

They do update it periodically. They used to call them service packs, but now they call them Update. The current download included the Nov Update. When a new "update" package comes out it will likely be rolled into this download.

when i did a windows 8 to 8.1 upgrade (as that's what it is) all the updates was part of the ISO/ESD download install only had to do less then 2-3 updates
this one was 120 updates (makes sense as the ISO i norm get a close to , its ok on this system as it was a i5 8GB of ram but on annoying systems like AMD E to A6 it can take forever to do the updates more so the .net framework updates

i should have a look a slip streaming but need to maintain the auto activate thing as all system i deal with are UEFI keyed (not meet anyone mad enough to pay £100-170 for a retail windows 8-8.1 key)

If its the Single Language version you need to install the SL version or your key will be rejected. You can skip the installing 8.0 and upgrading to 8.1. Just install 8.1 SL, it will use your 8.0 SL key.
