so do you confirm that the downloaded iso does not contain the big kb3000850 update? thnx
I do believe somebody else has confirmed that. Read back a bit and you should see it. I use my MSDN ISO's for my installs.

#bubblebobble. I recently downloaded the first option for the W8.1 ISO shown at:

Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create

I have since installed it on 2 PCs using my W8 and W8.1 OEM disks purchased from a retail shop. It does contain the KB3000850 update, but loaded and activated OK. Have since downloaded and installed all other W8.1 updates with no problems.

This does not work for me .

I want to use option 1, and this is how far I can get.

    I select Language (danish)
I select Edition (Windows 8.1 Pro)
    I select Architecture (x64)

    I click NEXT

    I select ISO file

    I click NEXT

Now a window open where I can select where to save windows.iso. I have tried severel destinations like, Downloads, C:\, D:\
and after selecting a destination, I click on Save.

After that the window close again and download is starting, but after second it ends with this window:

What am I doing wrong?? As written I have tried severel different locations, but with no sucess.

Yes I have tried that (and again just now to be sure) It stops at the same window with the same error.

No. But I might have a wild guess ....

I am trying to do this in Windows 10! Could that be the reason?

Could be, but it worked fine in my Windows 10. Might test in Windows 8 or 7 to see how it works in them.
