I've successfully downgraded... as in, switched back to win7 by dual-booting onto different GPT partition into windows 7 x64 using brink's "UEFI Bootable USB Flash Drive - Create in Windows" guide which is similar to what meljuga suggested but has variation using win7 bootmgfw.efi

    keynotes are
    create new partition for win7
set bios appropriately [ safeboot off , on ASUS ..
launch CSM] later booting into USB choose UEFI one
    format usb fat32
    copy win7's
    bootmgfw.efi from win7's install.wim via 7zip follow step.11

when selecting partion in installation u get message of wrong oder ... I've clicked proceed and all worked well.

I had to delete the 'MSR (Reserved)' partition before being able to continue installation. If I didn't delete it I got the 'Windows cannot be installed to disk 0......' message as you do in the screenshots.
Why does the format have to be GPT anyway when installing 7? Why can't the disk be formatted to MBR?

I preformed the downgrade on my Sony vaio.
But I had to set the BIOS to legacy, because it would not see the win7 cd when it was on uefi.

But the problem i'm having now is that some of the drivers will not install, like the graphic card drivers (radeon hd7670m)
Do I need to set the bios back to uefi? And will this help to get the drivers installed?

Some OEM manufacturers are locking end-users out of the options in BIOS on consumer PC’s, on business PC’s there not.

This may be implemented by simply providing the option to clear all Secure Boot databases (PK, KEK, db, dbx), which puts the system into setup mode.

The firmware setup must provide an option to return from Custom to Standard Mode which restores the factory defaults. On an ARM system, it is forbidden to enable Custom Mode. Only Standard Mode may be enabled.

The drivers will install the same in uEFI or Legacy.

Check the Sony web site for Windows 7 drivers.
