Solved "Your PC ran into a problem" in every boot

I don't have a BSOD, but a PSOW (Purple Sign of Warning) :p

Every time I boot my laptop, I get a purple sign that says "Your PC ran into a problem. This caused the system to restart".
Everything seems to work OK, but it's annoying.

It's worth noting that the issue only happens when I boot from an off state. A reboot doesn't give me the error.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Specs.
Asus G55VW
Windows 8.1 Single Language x64 (clean install)
All drivers from Asus website, except GPU
Every Windows update installed

Hi ignaciojn,

Please try the following suggestion.

Uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from ASUS. Be sure the clean install box is checked and only install the Graphics driver and the PhysX driver, you can use this tutorial for the installation part :ar: NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems - Windows 7 Help Forums

I suggest the drivers from ASUS, because the laptop manufacturer drivers are usually the most stable for laptops due to some altering.

It worked, thank you very much.

Follow up question: Am I stuck with 2013 drivers, or is it safe to install the new ones now?

Hi ignaciojn,

I personally wouldn't recommend to install drivers from other sources, because IME (personal and with others whom I've helped) it leads to problems.
