Hello everyone. I have to try and set up a boot USB drive for my friend's laptop (which has no DVD-ROM drive and won't boot) how can I find out which version on W8 it has on it? (Should I just download the "Pro" version?)

And when I've set up the drive, would a "refresh" install normally cure, a non-booting W8 install? Many thanks :)
