How to Upgrade to Windows 10

I was looking at the files on my x86 laptop this morning and noticed Windows-BT downloaded at 5.30AM

snagged the esd from sources folder and created an ISO
also created an ISO from the Windows-bt folder

it is version 10240


If you want to make an ISO image of the actual Upgrade for your PC

Download and extract the correct Oscdimg .zip and copy the contents (files) into the Windows\System32 folder

And then run this from command prompt (admin)

Oscdimg -bootdata:2#p0,e,bEtfsboot.com#pEF,e,bEfisys.bin -h -m -o -u1 -udfver102 "C:\$Windows.~BT" C:\PC_Upgrade.iso

You will find the PC_Upgrade.iso on C:\

Look back at previous posts, i received files and o.k. to install, but have not done yet, because of questions on it.

I have same error inside my windows update that its failed like 10 times what it MS doing i mean come on don't spam my pc and not give it to me lol.

Anyone in he Uk got the update yet, its now 7am and no sign of it on my machines yet, I have got the Win10 icon and filled all the web forms in but nothing yet for the actual update. Although that could be a good thing I suppose

I am in the UK.
On my desktop which running Windows 8.1 64 bit Pro update history shows 6 failed attempts, my laptop running Windows 8.1 64 bit home update history shows 5 failed attempts!

Just noticed 2 failed attempts in the update log for Windows 10 home which is odd as I was sure I have Windows 8.1 Pro on my 64bit machine

No not a sign of it and the earlier update they sent failed as well looks like it did for a lot of us,

Up date looked in update history and windows 10 failed to install at 08.11 am this morning waiting to see if they try again also lots of old updates trying to install some from 2012
Also tried to get why it failed putting in the error number and it came up empty just referred me to a testers site like you lads have been doing
So come on Microsoft what is going on
