Woke Up and Found Win10 Upgrade already Download

I was looking at the files on my x86 laptop this morning and noticed Windows-BT downloaded at 5.30AM

snagged the esd from sources folder and created an ISO
also created an ISO from the Windows-bt folder

it is version 10240

If you want to make an ISO image of the actual Upgrade for your PC

Download and extract the correct Oscdimg .zip and copy the contents (files) into the Windows\System32 folder

And then run this from command prompt (admin)

Code:
Oscdimg -bootdata:2#p0,e,bEtfsboot.com#pEF,e,bEfisys.bin -h -m -o -u1 -udfver102 "C:\$Windows.~BT" C:\PC_Upgrade.iso

You will find the PC_Upgrade.iso on C:\

Looks to me that is a burnable directory what with boot folder and all. May not install 10 clean though without existing OS already in place.

I thought that to Popeye, looks like all, but probably would not work if i burned this to an ISO.

Even though it is asking you to reboot will be surprised if it does before the scheduled date tomorrow. Maybe it just won't activate until then.

Seen all pictures i posted here seems like it will. So thinking have Windows 10, but not activated with files in place.

I just noticed the "NewOS" folder so that is something don't normally see. Definitely looks for previously installed version.

But nothing inside folder for now. Even if i select to restart, get update and restart or update and shutdown

You've been chosen as a guinea pig, congratulations! :)

So you still are in 8.1 and able to use it though, right? I'd tell you to hold the power button to shut down but going to pass on that.

Or are you saying when you do reboot it opens 8.1 and then you get the message again?

in order to activate win10 you have to use the upgrade option - over a prior OS

No sure install.esd will be there later..

But here is a C/P

The final build number consumers will update to on July 29th
Those upgrading will actually download 10240.16384 alongside the day one patch handsomely titled KB3074683, and will be applied automatically during the upgrade so by the time the consumer lands on the desktop, they'll be running 10240.16405.

Day one patch for Windows 10 features over 1GB of fixes and improvements (download links)

The final build number consumers will update to on July 29th reads 10240.16405.150725-1815.th1, and those keeping track will notice the delta number has increased from 16384. Where is the install.esd or not there unless take steps you have shown ?

seems to me a previewer can apply the KB3074683 to get 10240.16405

snagged the install.esd from $windows-BT\sources folder and created an 10240.16384 ISO

download ESD-WIM-ISO
Extract the zip file
Copy the install.esd from $windows-bt \ sources to the extracted Esd-wim-iso folder
right click on the decrypt-convert.cmd file and run as admin
Choose option 6
