Interesting thought.

To be honest, I would rather NOT see the cloud take off. Not a cloud OS anyways, but a Cloud storage system.

Except we already have them, they are called SERVERS. So, perhaps MS needs to rethink its approach to creating an OS, and make it easier to use Servers as harddrives and storage.

EDIT: Just thought of this: Using a Cloud OS is going to be SLOW. Having to access the network for EVERYTHING means that EVERYTHING will take longer.

Good point. Maybe that will be the time to upgrade our download speeds?

Apart from all the infrastructure at the ISPs end, the problem is the wiring. For real high speed, we'd need fiberglass, not copper.
