Hi
I prepared a ntfs partition on my second hard drive, big enough for W8. I also hid the other partitions of W7 so that only the new partition would be active. I started the installation CD (W8 enterprise, test version) and the list of all partitions apeared. As I choosed the prepared partition, I was surprised to see a message that: no existing system partition could be found! !! I tryed to format it, to delete it, creat again and what ever all....
I googled around and didnt find any information so i gave up and installed it normaly (without hiding the other OS). But at the end of the test version i will have to repeat this procces und I would be happy to find a solution....
Anybody has an idee???

I have no idee where is the problem. W8 refuses to be installed on the second hard drive while the first hd is hidden hidden...
Here the device screenshot.

Limited to 4 primary partitions per disk...
But the ubuntu´s partition is one, extended (with 3 logic partitions), there shouldn´t be any problem. and you can see, I installed W8 on this same partition (only withount hiding the first hard disk) and it functions without any problem.
From some reason, W8 presists to install its bootloader in the first hd...???

EDIT
Oh, I think I see what you mean, my extended partition has 3 primary partition instead of 3 logical! do you think its posible to change from primry to logical?

EDIT 2
Well, after checking this point: these 3 ubuntu partitions which are inside the extended one, are not primery partitions! but from any reason windows call it primery.
So my problem is still there: why I cannt install win8 on the second hd, while firs hd is hidden?
