How to Change Lock Screen Timeout Period in Windows Phone 8 and 8.1
InformationThis tutorial will show you how set the screen timeout period for how often your phone will automatically lock and goes to sleep when idle in Windows Phone 8 and 8.1.
EXAMPLE: Lock Screen in Windows Phone 8
Here's How:
1. On your Windows Phone 8.x, open the App list, and tap on Settings. (see screenshot below)
2. Tap on lock screen in system settings. (see screenshot below)
3. Tap on the Screen times out after field. (see screenshot below)
4. Tap on 30 seconds, 1 minute, 3 minutes, or 5 minutes for the timeout period you want. (see screenshot below)
5. When finished, you can return to your Start screen if you like.
