How to Turn On or Off Notifications in Action Center on Windows Phone 8.1 Lock Screen
InformationWindows Phone 8.1 introduces the Action Center to quickly see notifications like email, texts, and social media updates in. You can also access five personalized quick actions at the top, so you can easily switch on and off Wi-Fi, Airplane mode, and more. The Action Center also includes a link to All Settings to help getting to your system and application settings faster.
This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off to show notifications in the action center when your Windows Phone 8.1 is locked.

Note- You will not need to enter your lock screen password (if turned on) to just open the Action Center on the lock screen, but you will need to enter your lock screen password if you try to open a notification from the lock screen.
- You can clear single notifications by sliding one to the right in the Action Center.
- You can also clear a notification by tapping on it to open it. Once opened and read, it will be removed.
- You can clear all notifications by tapping on Clear All at the top right just above notifications and below actions in the Action Center.
- When you get a new notification in the Action Center, you will see a notification icon in the status bar at the top of your phone's screen by default to help let you know.
EXAMPLE: Lock Screen Notifications in Action Center turned on and off
Here's How:
1. In the App list, tap on Settings. (see screenshot below)
2. In system settings, tap on notifications + actions. (see screenshot below)
3. Check (on) or uncheck (off) the Show notifications in action center when my phone is locked box. (see screenshot below)
4. If you like, you may also wish to: Manage Settings for Notifications in Windows Phone 8.1 Action Center
5. When finished, you can return to your Start screen if you like.
