Computer sees the Netgear router and my other computer is having no problems with it or getting on the internet. After update my Win 8 laptop sees the Netgear router and other routers in the area, but I cannot connect to the internet. I restored the computer to a previous date and things or working fine for awhile but drops back out and I can no longer get on internet. Again I restore to a previous date and things are fine for while but will drop out again. My other computer (Vista) and smart phone not having a problem at all. Help!

As for a certain Windows update causing this problem, you should go to Control Panel, click on Windows Update, then go to bottom left corner of the page click on "Installed Updates", you will be able to see this problem update and uninstall it from there.
