Solved Windows malicious software stopped working

I have accidently interrupted the automatic maintenance and the mpgear.dll showed up again in Temp folder but there wasn't an error. I am curious why MRT runs every time Automatic maintenance runs - isn't it supposed to run only once? There was a task in Task Scheduler called MRT_HB and I just deleted it. I hope this wouldn't bring problems and MRT wont run every time Automatic maintenance runs.

I believe that it is designed to run with automatic maintenance and the MRT.log in the Windows/Debug folder seems to confirm that, at least in my case. I don't have any scheduled tasks identified as or related to MRT at all, as far as I can tell.

Don't you have a task called MRT_HB in Task scheduler - Task scheduler library/Microsoft/Windows/RemovalTools. I think that this task causes the MRT to run every time Automatic maintenance runs. Can someone else confirm that has such a process in Task scheduler?

Sorry Werty, you are correct. I was just looking at Task Schedule Library and did not expand the folder. However, it says "last run time: never"? See below:

I will mark the thread as solved because since the March update MRT is working well - no more errors in event log. Thank You all for your support! :)

hate to bug in on a post but my MRT keeps stopping at D:\System Volume Information\tracking log. Only option is to cancel and then I can't clean the 3 files or see what they are. 2nd time I've run it. Any ideas?
