I had to do a reinstall of my operating system, It said wouldn't change any of my settings etc. When I did it wiped out my windows live mail program There has got to be a way to reinstall this even though windows no longer provides updates. Please if you have a work around let me know

Windows Live Mail has been discontinued. If you can find a copy, you can reinstall it; but it is not likely to be available for download from Microsoft.com.
For a long time I used Outlook Express. That was a fantastic program, because it was simple and straightforward. But it also went out of production. I tried different email programs, finally settling on Mozilla Thunderbird. Thunderbird is free, and lots of people use it. I recommend that you try Thunderbird, to see if you like it.
It appears that you are running Windows 10 on your computer. Have you checked the Microsoft store for their Mail program? That is the successor program to Windows Live Mail.
If none of these programs work for you, then perhaps someone on Windows 10 Forums could be of assistance.

thank you i have a copy I think is complete but i can't figure out how to reinstall it. Anyway somebody out there has to have a copy or tell me how to do it. I even went to my old backups and that wasn't included. I thank you for your assistance i will check out Mozilla Thunderbird in the meantime.I tried the new Outlook and it was okay but I am a creature of habit and want my windows live mail back. I am currently using the mail program for Windows 10 but i still want Live. I will check with Windows 10 Help Forums. Thank you again for your response!

If you Google Windows live mail, it will show you several sites that have the program and you can download the complete package including live writer and mail and 5 more included in the Package.
