Good day.

Running win 8, I d/led Windows essentail live from this link : Windows Essentials - Download Windows Live Essentials

After installation I got error messages for missing files like attached file for messenger.
I tried to uninstall the package but could not find it on uninstall program or windows features.

I need help to install one correctly or to removed it from system.

I mainly need this package for movie maker, I will be much happy if I get alternative freeware.

Thanks and regards.

If you wish, you can try:
  1. Delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live if the folder existed.
  2. Download https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds . select the portable version so you don't have to install it.
  3. run CCleaner to clean up the registry.
  4. Try to re-install Windows Live Mail

You could try running in administrator cmd prompts---

sfc /scannow

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Then--
sfc /scannow

again & reboot.

dism hangs at 20% for a long time.

They should look similar to this---
