I have a home-built system that I built a couple of years ago, running 8.1 and have never had an issue until the last couple of weeks. Nothing new has been installed (hardware or software), however, over the last couple of weeks the system will simply freeze, then reboot, though I get no BSOD. It doesn't matter what I am doing. I can be watching a movie, or simply using Chrome...
I have run the Windows memory test, which finds no issues...
I have run chkdsk and nothing is found...
I have run the System File Checker tool (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833) and nothing was found...
I have even reinstalled 8.1 in the hopes something was corrupted, but the issue is still occurring...
Any thoughts, hints or ideas would be greatly appreciated...Thank you...
