windows embedded is more than you need , this definition from a google search ! I would think win8.1 basic would be good enough for you to get or pro if so desired but you don't need windows embedded

Wow a MVP ....

i read that its for on wiki that its for cashier etc so i thought that its not full for normal people use.

also its so much confusion on the internet (especially on stack overflow) if windows 8.1 embedded industry will continue to run or get updates after i finish college, would be great if u could explain that once and for all.I tried checking the license or dreamspark faq but no luck thx.
I finish college in like a month so its important for me

If you are just going to be installing on normal hardware you don't need Embedded. As far as I can see there is no advantage to using it over your normal Windows 8. If you had to look up what it is you really don't need it. Go with Pro if its an option or Core. You'll have a lot less hassles installing it and maintaining it.
