windows does not detect my external mouse

windows 8
my usb mouse is not working
although it is detected on device manager
usb driver is up to date
i tried another mouse, same problem
i tried another usb, still not working
windows doesnt gimme the "cannot recognize usb device" msg
any help ?

i also tried restarting, problem was not fixed
