Windows 8 won't boot

Hi, I have an Asus S200E notebook PC and ever since I did a factory reset, the PC won't boot but loads into the bios every time I turn it on. I've tried using a pendrive with windows boot files on it but still won't go past the bios screen.
I took the hard drive out and plugged it into my desktop and the partitions and all the files seem to be on the hard drive, just won't boot or get past the bios. It is only new and am gutted I can't get it going.
The hard drive is fine as I checked while it was in my desktop. The hard drive is showing up in the bios just not in the boot device section.
Please please someone help as this has my brain steaming trying to work this out.
Any help at all would be very greatly appreciated.
Thank you

If the drive is MBR, there is a tool to repair the MBR in Minitool partition Wizard. If you right-click on the very left space on the drive, you'll see a "rebuild MBR" selection. But before you try that...

It sounds like you'll have to rebuild your BCD. There should be a tutorial in the Tutorials section, search for "rebuilding BCD". It's a few easlily run command lines, but you have to do it from an Install Medium. Start a Windows 8 install, halt it then go into "Repair Computer". It may repair your BCD automatically.

My Bootsector is on a totally different drive than my Windows 8 system, so it should be easier for you.
