how do you access the settings if you remove the Charm
E.g. with Win+I

Thanks a lot. But me and keyboard commands don't mix well. All I used in my life was Ctrl+Alt+Del for emergencies.

Is there any not-keyboard alternative?

Thank you WHS.

Do you mean "not-keyboard" or "no short cut" (like keyboard commands Ctrl+Alt+Del) ?

No short cut: In Metro start menu type "settings".

Thanks for the tip.
By "Empty UI file" I guess you mean: clear everything except:
Code:
<duixml>
</duixml>

This way, it worked for me...

If you don't want to log on everytime Win 8 starts, Just go to search, type in netplwiz and on the user tab uncheck the box, reenter your password and you're done.
