I think this release of Windows 8 is far, far better than the Consumer Preview. the new mouse pointers are awesome and it is so fast. It feels like I'm running it on my ssd even though I'm not (because I don't have enough room) It is VERY fast!

What a disappointment. You can't keep your programs or settings from Win8 CP. Still very exciting, though. I'm gonna install the x64 RP in about an hour.

i thought i would attempt a sneak preview, but i was asked for a serial, at this point the wife woke and complained i was waking her, so its on hold. how do i get beyond the serial part.

Installed this in 7 minutes flat and 3 minutes to personalize, all my settings were remembered and all my favorites in place which is one good thing about Windows 8. All programs and drivers reinstalled using compatibility mode for Windows 7. Everything reinstalled and back to normal but with zero bugs in less than one hour.

The G15 keyboard bug where mouse pointer freezing screen problem is now fixed as expected.
No more ghost files on the task bar so that is also fixed as we all knew it would be.
No more broken apps when adjusting UAC either, metro IE also seems to work better, so many bugs have been fixed with this build. Flash is already installed for IE10.

This definitely seems faster and more polished compared to the CP. :)

Flash is built in to Windows 8 Release Preview, so there is no need for a separate download.

Strange I burned it to a DVD-RW and was going to install it in from my main OS - Vista (C:) in order to preserve drive letters and I got to enter a key and select whether or not to preserve settings but saw no option to choose which partition to install it on.

Anyone enlighten me on that?
