From what I've come across online, it's a no, windows 8 can't be put onto iPad, ever!:cry::cry::cry:

But me being a techy I find this really hard to believe.

I know the architecture apple uses is different, But from what I've learned, windows 8 is compatible with the modified ARM apple used, and it should be possible. :p:dinesh:

Also a lot of the tablets coming out will use ARM chips if I'm not mistaken with windows 8 rt.
You'll need the drivers of course, and a few other tweaks to get it to work on iPad, but I think it's not hard for the more experienced developers/ modders. Or maybe even someone from Microsoft could probably work on this...:thumb::ditto:

I can't say I'm an expert on all this mobile, micro tech, but I'm learning, and what I've learned shows that it should work. After wasting a ton of time of course.

Anybody going to try anything once windows 8 is fully out, or should I be the first?:huh::p

Theoretically, it should be possible, but Windows RT isn't a retail OS version you can buy or find or install. There's that. Also, the ipad I would assume has things built in to prevent modding like that, it would take a bit to get it to install Windows. I don't know if the ipad was ever designed to do that. It's really not a PC in any normal sense of the word, and shouldn't ever be considered one. Think of it as a large ipod touch...

That is exactly what I refer to it when people ask me about it... That's why I want a "real" OS on it like windows 8, so I could use it more like a pc...
