Windows 8 License Transfer to Mac Mini

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a way to transfer a 32-bit Windows 8 Pro Upgrade license to a bootcamp partition in a 2012 Mac Mini without having to buy a new one. I bought Windows 8 for my laptop and the laptop will no longer be used. So is there a way I could maybe deactivate the license on my laptop, and reuse the same license on the Mac Mini?

Dwarf, I was thinking you can't do that with an upgrade. I may be wrong. Have been once or twice in my life.

I hope I can do it in an upgrade. That was my biggest concern. If I had a product builder key, it'd be a piece of cake. That's not the case, however. Thanks for the quick answer though.

Unles there is a previously-installed qualifying product in the Bootcamp partition, you don't qualify for the upgrade - it's that simple.

You can upgradea Windows 7 with the Windows 8 upgrade, but to dual boot or VM you will need the full version.

The Windows 8 upgrade EULA allows you to transfer Windows 8 to another computer you own, as long as you remove Windows 8 from the upgraded machine. It just disallows you from reactivating the original Windows 7 you upgraded from. So no problem in doing what you propose.

What about upgrading the software?
The software covered by this agreement is an upgrade to your existing operating system software, so the upgrade replaces the original software that you are upgrading. You do not retain any rights to the original software after you have upgraded and you may not continue to use it or transfer it in any way.
Can I transfer the software to another computer or user?
You may transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you. You may also transfer the software (together with the license) to a computer owned by someone else if a) you are the first licensed user of the software and b) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement. To make that transfer, you must transfer the original media, the certificate of authenticity, the product key and the proof of purchase directly to that other person, without retaining any copies of the software. You may use the backup copy we allow you to make or the media that the software came on to transfer the software. Anytime you transfer the software to a new computer, you must remove the software from the prior computer. You may not transfer the software to share licenses between computers. You may transfer Get Genuine Windows software, Pro Pack or Media Center Pack software only together with the licensed computer.
