Windows 8 installation restart loop

Yesterday I tried to install windows 8 from windows 7. While it was installing, my pc restarted and now whenever it restarts it gives me a message saying: "The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot process. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation.

The question is what should I do to get out of this. Can I revert back to windows 7 and what OS is my computer currently running if any at all? I tried starting in safe mode but it failed because the installation failed. I tried using a windows 7 disc although I'm not sure if it is the correct disc and it doesn't boot. I tried setting it to boot on cdrom only and it always goes back to trying to install windows.

As your System Specs, only say Windows 7, thertefore 32 bit installed.

Your screenshot is of a Windows 7 64 bit of unknown OEM manufacturer.

For better help with problems, Can you post your specs.

I'm sorry but I do know much of specs. But I bought my pc from Ncix and I'm sure my specs have nothing to do with it.

I want to know what disc I will need to fix this installation problem. I have no idea what OS my computer is right now and will any win7 disc work with it.

Again apologize for the inconvenience.

The problem was that the disc wasn't working or booting up >.>

I never get any prompt to press any key. Instead it just goes straight to trying to installing windows 8.

Hi, don't have much to add besides that I get the exact same problem.

I want to emphasise it doesnt go into windows (7 or 8) so there is no command prompt. It's just a loop. there's the manufacturer screen (I have a medion) with the setup menu (f2) and the boot menu (f12), then it goes into a windows 8 loading screen and after a little while it says:

"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot process. To install Windows, click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation."

I hit 'OK', it restarts, same rubbish.

when I try to boot (from an external hard drive) it starts the installation but gets stuck at a certain point and after 20 minutes it just shuts down.

I'm thinking I should just throw everything off and start clean, but in this loop I have no idea how.

Can you tell me if this is the correct disc for windows 7? Would it work for my current situation or do I have to try with a windows 8 disc?
Where did you get the disk? Did the disk come with your computer?

Which disk isn't working? The Win7 disk? A Win8 disk in your possession?
