Windows 8 Build 7989 leaked

Fresh screenshots from a Milestone 3 copy of Windows 8 leaked to the Internet on Friday.
Read more here

The article is brief, but it shows 2 out of 4 new screenshots of the build 7989, a Milestone 3 copy built in April. BetaArchives members seem to be both trying to get and leak this built, while also discussing whether this is actually real or not. The topic can be found here. I hope the thread title is not misleading, so let me just state that, as far as I know, build 7989 is not an official beta, or any other "officially" released build, for that matter.

Thanks. I now have the new task manager and the ribbons enabled. There has been a change to the PDF reader, although it still doesn't work. When trying to open a PDF file with it, the program frame flashes whereas before there was no response whatsoever.

Sorry, no idea on that one. :( It seems to work when using the graphics driver that comes with Windows 8, but when upgrading the driver to the latest provided by the card manufacturer (in my case, NVidia), it no longer works.

It's with the latest nvidia drivers I'm trying so I'll roll back and see, cheers.

I'm not too bothered with that as it's only eye-candy. It would be nice for this issue to be resolved, but it's not a top priority.

I just noticed the same thing, all apps hanging briefly, Hangs at login for a couple of seconds.

Startup is a little slower, as is shutdown.

No lockups though.

Un-installed 1351 Red Pill, ran sfc /scannow twice, it found files with errors, re-installed the 1351 red Pill.
Everything is back, seems to be running better than earlier today but, not as good as yesterday.
Will have to test it for a while.

That's what I thought, but in this pic of build 8030 it seems a normal LCD display:
