I have tried everything. Updated drivers, downgraded drivers, tried drivers from another manufacturer, uninstalled and let it auto install the "correct" drivers. I changed my power settings to max performance, messed with the signal configuration and most recently, completely reset windows.

Before reseting windows, it would detect wireless networks about half of the time but then would disconnect from them every 5 minutes or so, making it very difficult to use. Now, after reseting windows, it has not been able to detect any wireless networks at all.

This issue has occurred on ALL wifi networks, including my mother's in Virginia, my university and my apartment in San Diego. It also does not occur on any other device including my old computer (this one) and my phone. All other devices have unbroken and healthy signals on the same wifi.

Could it be a faulty network adapter? The computer is refurb.
