Windows 8: Android-like pattern logon screen demo

A newly leaked video demonstrates Windows 8′s pattern based logon system.

The video shows a Metro UI style Windows 8 logon prompt with a new pattern based password logon. The pattern system is similar to Google’s Android pattern passcode. Microsoft appears to be working on a pattern based system for devices with a touch screen. Elements of the Windows 8 login process have previously leaked, including a video which demonstrates the tiled interface and larger easier to touch menu systems. The latest video was posted at compixels on Friday.

Windows 8 Pattern Logon

A video was uploaded to the popular video hosting website YouTube the other day that demonstrates a new feature called pattern logon. It basically replaces the standard password with a pattern based login in which you have to click on, or touch, squares in a specific sequence to log on.

Im just curious as to if the touch log on will be available if the pc is tied to a domain, and how the admin would reset it. I can hear it now. IT-"Okay click the first one in the first row." Person - "okay" IT - "now the second one in the second row." person - "the second one in the first row?" It - "No, the second one in the second row" Person well why did you say the first row? So its the first one one the second row and the third one on the forth row right." IT - "clicks *dial tone*"
