Windows 8 Allows Xbox 360 Games to be Played on PC

Cool news, isn’t it? Rumors state after the release of Kinect SDK for Windows 7 that you can play all Xbox 360 games on the upcoming Microsoft Windows 8 PC operating system.

This sounds like another nail in Nvidia's coffin. If Intel's new generation of CPUs with graphics on chip kill the lower and middle range graphic card market that only leaves them with the top end.
If then the majority of gamers start playing console ports of games on their pcs, the games companies will gradually stop making the graphically superior pc ports of games.
Consequently there'll be no market for high end graphics cards either.

I agree with johnwillyums....also why would you want to play a game from a console that's technically inferior on a superior PC? If you have a good gaming rig games can be much better on a PC than a 360 anyway. I am not bashing the 360, its a good little console but its getting a little dated now but I can see the benefits of this feature, like when your 360 dies you can keep playing your games on your PC. I also wonder if there will be cross platform multilayer too? It would be fun to play with my mates from my PC to their consoles.

That would be funny, MS is actually going to integrate an Xbox360 emulator into Windows 8? It is cool but I think it is just a rumor

I don't see it happening for a few reasons.
1) It would cannibalize sales of the console which they've put too much money and manpower in to give up on it now.
2) It would be a pirates wet dream come true. Not only would they get PC exclusives but now they have every 360 available to them without doing a thing.

if this is true then there will be nonstop hacking in all games especially mw2 lobbys because in the pc version if you use alteriw you get console so you can mod dvars there will be a console made for legit games i believe

I don't really see them doing this. Since the XBOX 360 has a Xenon processor, its binaries use a PowerPC instruction set. This means that they could not be directly run on the x86, x86-64, and soon ARM processors on which Windows runs. The Xenon processor would have to be emulated, which would likely reduce the speed and efficiency.

This won't be happening. XBox makes too much money selling games, they would never port it to PC.
Even if they did, the games would be total crap. My computer could probably run 3 of them at max graphics at once and they would still look terrible.
