i found this in the nfo of the image i download from news group why it wont run in vmware

VMWare does not implement ACPI 2.0, which Windows 8 requires. It also requires hardware virtualization, any architecture, x86 or x64.

Use VirtualBox instead.

There is also a password option if you click on 'More log-in options'

If, however, you are stuck where the clock is you simply swipe up on the screen or press the up arrow

Yeah I can swipe the clock off but then it wont let me click on the user or use the keyboard.

I've just managed to get back in by an F8 at reboot and will now try again

Did you enable it via the above?

Yeah.

It seems the touchscreen will not interact with anything on the login screen, even though it shows the trails when you move your fingers around the screen.

ok bit of a noob here ,can i create a partition on my hardrive and install windows 8 into said partition

Yes that is what I have done. I have several pc's and do not worry about backing up my data but if you are talking about your main pc then make sure to copy your data before trying to build a new partition. Its all easy enough to do but also very easy to make a mistake and wipe everything gone. Lots off very good tutorials on SF just for this. Good luck to you

I don't know about touch screens ,but after taking RedPill ,it works well on regular PC!
