Solved Windows 8.1 showing three monitors

Windows 8.1 - on my HP Envy is showing that three monitors are connected to it. That is not correct. I have an external monitor connected via an HDMI cable, and the only other monitor is the actual laptop. I tried disconnecting it as shown in the attached screenshot, but it will not go away. It seems like some kind of virtual display. Does anyone have any idea what this is and how I can delete it? Thanks.

Which one are you trying to disconnect? No.1? It looks like 1 is the built in display? On my laptop monitor no.1 is listed as PC Mobile display and is the built in monitor. Press the Windows Logo key and the P key, then select PC Screen only. Then do it again and select extend, then see what happens.

I unistalled the graphics card, rebooted and l let windows reinstall the drivers and the problem went away. Thanks for your help. I am not sure what got corrupted.

That's just one of those computer mysteries. One that hopefully doesn't come back.
