Solved Windows 8.1 Recovery - Could not find recovery environment

And BTW, Reset or Repair buttons still don't work in recovery options.

It says: "A problem occurred when trying to reset your computer. No change couldn't be made"

But it is creating a recovery usb right now. That's a plus, i guess.

That problem is because you have an EXTRA partition that was created when you upgraded your PC

as the PC is Booting up - hit F12 to access the Boot menu - then select USB under the UEFI Boot Menu

One last thing, what if F12 is also broken? I haven't tried it yet but most of my F keys are not working.

OK it's working. I'm gonna try it now, wish me luck!

Well, the computer shut itself down during the reset process and now i dont have an operating system installed on ssd. I don't if it was the overheat or not, im using a cooler, but it was also turning itself off while trying to upgrade to Windows 10. But after turning it on, it was restoring the previous system which was 8.1

Now when trying all the options via usb, it just keeps shutting itself down.

Never buying an Acer, ever again.

Well believe it or not, i was able to clean install my system using TWO external air Ventilating fans directed at my computer to keep the heat from rising :)

It reverted back to windows 8 now im working on updating it to windows 8.1. Then im gonna try one more time to install windows 10

NO, as the upgrade(s) will see the current product key

you do not boot from setup media to perform an upgrade - you just run the setup.exe from within your current version of windows

But yes, download and create both the windows 8.1 and windows 10 ISO
