Hi all
I've been following various threads for a while re Realtek Hi Def drivers. And even went to Samsung Support Centre. ALL to no avail. I had to keep re installing the 64 bit driver every half an hour no matter what was suggested. ( the samsung guy to me to save all my files then re-install the whole chebang after he had unsuccessfully tried to fix.)
I'm no wizz kid but finally worked out what was the cause. SOMETHING was obviously conflicting so all I did was uninstall the AVG and SAMSUNG "tweek" programs and HEY PRESTO all is sweet and running like a dream ( though I STILL would like to wipe the lot and do a clean install of Windows seven.)
Just Saying.
Thankyou for all the posts that I read on the subject.

Since many years, I get installed:
AUD_Win8_Win7_6.0.1.6886_PV.exe --- that comes with
Realtek Control Panel.

Windows 8, from INTEL
can be:
AUD_Win8.1_Win8_Win7_6.0.1.7240.zip
249.917.181 bytes

Works fine and resolves.

Good luck y'all

The drivers on the RealTek web site work for most. There can be an issue if a PC (or motherboard) vendor does some modification, but for most the direct from RealTek drivers work.

I have two homebuilt desktops one with a Gigabyte Z77 motherboard and another with an ASUS Z77 motherboard, both are dual boot Windows 7 64 bit and Windows 8.1.1 64 bit, and a Lenovo laptop with Windows 7 64 bit, all with RealTek. I use the same High Definition Audio Codec driver direct from RealTek for them all.
