Odd. Please post some screenshots to see if it may help ID the issue.
I think I've made a huge goof. I expected a download file, so I've clicked on the store tile. It seems to b an automatic upgrade. NOT what I wanted to do.
Sorry, I intended to just take a peak at the download file, but instead it started an install. At least it did install correctly, so one of the Microsoft servers must have the wrong image for the Store file. It definitely offered 8.1. Preview, instead of 8.1.

Thanks Shawn!

I've actually installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise Edition in my laptop more than a week ago from one of the MS Perks ;) and I liked it. Of course, I installed the Windows 8 Start button 3rd party and I can still switch it to the Metro screen if I want to.

I will also install it in my Samsung touch-screen computer.

Now that you mentioned it, no, there is no live tile. BTW it was like that even before today

Personally I don't like the way Skydrive works under 8.1, much prefer the "desktop" version which offers more options.

I'm talking about the tile showing the last uploaded file name or pictures. When you right click on the tile there is no option to turn live tile on or off.

Yea, the RT user interface (Metro/Modern/whatever it is) for 8.x is optional, in case you might not realize it. It's tuned (dumbed down) specifically for touch screens--lots of wasted space on each screen, dumbed-down & truncated options, too-large fonts, etc. If you have a non-touch computer like most people do, you never have to look at the new UI unless you want to--8.x contains the entire Win7-'ish (Explorer-based) user interface, thank goodness (although Microsoft seems to go to lengths to hide it for some reason.) Just grab a 3rd-party start menu from somewhere (Classic Shell 3.9.5 is excellent & free) and take it from there.

You mean in 8.1? I've always had a skydrive live tile in windows 8.
In Windows 8, live tile worked for Skydrive, in 8.1 it doesn't. When I said before, I meant even before the "official" release of 8.1. In other words, not even the RTM version worked.

Why this is, I've no idea but it should go back to being a live tile.

Is there any way to get a installer file or ISO of v8.1 for a upgrade license?

I'd like to have a backup for slow connection speeds.

I tried that, but my key is not accepted as it is a upgrade key, not retail.
Your key is good enough to start downloading Win8 and to Activate at the end, I am not sure what it's not accepted, could you please be specific.
The thread specifically says "retail Windows 8 key", and I do not have that. I have a upgrade key from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Pro. The installer just don't accept the key and I can't advance in the installer.
