Windows 8.1 keeps saying to activate

I keep getting pop ups saying "activate windows within 1 day" so I click activate but it freezes and another one comes up
It happend after I downloaded a file delete a file it never stopped
I've tried multiple fixes but non worked
I'm running a hp laptop windows 8.1
I goto settings and it says windows is activation
In safe mode it never shows up

May be a general malware issue if a downloaded file has caused it.

Now that I'm thinking it might be malware, a lot of the options are blurred out and it asks me for my full product key
I would take a pic but I don't have my phone in me
I'll run Malware bytes and I'll report back

OK good luck - remember to run integrity fixes like dism /restorehealth and sfc /scannow as well...if you have corruptions.

Not much we can do now - I note your concern expressed in the WDT thread - it's helped quite a few here. So be rest assured it uses MS' own utilities to generate the report.

Your best bet will be a clean install - back-up what you can beforehand - if the problem persists then we can start from there.
