windows 8.1 change color taskbar

Hi,

I just upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1. In the 8.0 version I changed the color of the taskbar. I did this with Regedit. hkey_current_user software/microsoft/windows/dwm. changing enablewindowcolorisation changing value 1 to 0.

In windows 8.1 this doesnt work anymore. Anyone with the same problem?

Same problem here, that tweak doesn't work anymore. The same thing with the registry hack for enabling big buttons in ie11, not working anymore also.

Go to : Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization\Color and Appearance

The problem is to only change the taskbar color. Seen in this video.

Windows 8.1 theme with dark taskbar

Hi,

I have made my self simple theme cause I like it that way. When I asked Microsoft for help on Microsoft Community they simple deleted my thread, I guess that it was their kind of solution

1/ UXTheme patcher is included in archive and have to be patched before you apply the theme

2/ Reboot PC

3/ Copy theme to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes and apply it

4/ Thats all!

Taskbar color is fixed to #111111 full color, fact that is not transparent is for the simply purpose. As other elements in the standard aero there are also not transparent by default. Enjoy.

Hi D1G1T, how did you change/fix the taskbar color to black? Did you edit the windows registry or windows theme file? Can you tell me how to do that? I have applied the patched, but still my taskbar color not black.
