Hi Techhead287,

Did you install the latest BETA drivers from the NVIDIA site?
I have analyzed your dump file and below has been provided an analysis of the same :-

This time the dump file says that the faulting module is the "acpi.sys" which is a Windows Component and chance of it being at fault is extremely low.
Below is a list of 3rd party drivers present on your system :-

Please follow the below steps :-

  1. Remove your AVG using this **TOOL**.
  2. Update your Intel Processor IO Drivers.
  3. Please remove your Dell Airplane Switch.
  4. If the crashes are still occuring then please run driver verifier according to this guide :-Using Driver Verifier to identify issues with Drivers - Windows 7 Help Forums

Let me know how it goes ^_^. Once you generate a crash with the Driver Verifier enabled, make sure you run the SF Diagnostic Tool again and then upload the Zip file.

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

Just find the driver and rename it to something else. Also, did you perform the rest of the steps? What was the result?

I haven't done any of the other steps yet. Also, about the driver. I don't think you can just go renaming it like that...aren't you supposed to register some null.sys driver in its place?

Nope, it won't be required in this case. And by the way we do not replace a null driver file with that. I haven't seen anyone doing that around.

Please follow the above steps and let me know the result of them. ^_^

Hi,
I think I've solved the problem!
I decided to poke around myself, and an idea came to my head that I could add all of the conflicting drivers you suggested (acpi.sys, CLVirtualDrive.sys, DellRbtn.sys, and nvlddmkm.sys) to AVG's exception list. Then I rebooted on battery power, and guess what? No BSOD!

I will keep you updated on how it's going, however...

Thanks for all your help!

Hi Techhead287 ^_^,

As you could see that my first recommended step was the removal of the AVG. Anyways, I am glad to hear that the problem has been resolved. Please mark this thread as solved :)

Will keep this trick in mind as well ^_^

  ServiceName is "pci"

According to the Vendor ID that is 8086, it is your Intel Chipset which is causing problem with the blockage of IRP. It seems that there is an update to the CHipset drivers.
Please go to this **LINK** and then download and install these drivers. I hope this solves your problem because the driver still which is being blamed is "acpi.sys,pci.sys & nvlddmkm.sys".

Let me know how it goes ^_^.

I don't really feel comfortable using something like Driver Verifier. What did the dump files say? What was causing the problem?

In order to help you further, I would be requiring the Dump files with Driver Verifier enabled. According to the dump, the "acpi.sys & pci.sys" were the culprit.

There is one thing. But, it would take some time. Goto :- "C:\windows", there you would find a memory.dmp file which might be big in size. Delete that and let the system crash it again. Zip the freshly generated MEMORY.DMP file and then upload it to some file sharing like One Drive, Dropbox, Mediafire. I could try analyzing that and see what comes out of it.

Also, could you please disable Fast Startup using this **GUIDE** and see if the issue occurs or not?

Since, the file would be big, I would be able to download it only in college.
