Window 8.1 Drivers Help Needed

I am going to install window 8.1 previously I have window 7 preinstalled by dell.....now I want drivers for various factory fitted hardwares but on dell support website for my model no there is no option for divers on window 8 os
my model number is Studio1457 help will really be appreciated..

Start with the chip-set, identify it and then look for a driver. If it's Intel go to Intel. Then Video, audio etc. A lot of stuff may work with the default 8.1 drivers. You won't know until you do the install though. Unless somebody here with that same model has already done it. You might want to change the title to "Windows 8.1 drivers for dell Studio1457". The tricky part with laptops is some of the drivers are custom modified so the special function keys work. The volume up down, LCD brightness etc. For my laptop its a separate utility.
