Win8 hangs upon Initial Startup

Hello, I just joined the forum. I installed win8 64bit upon the startup of my new desktop custom build as a fresh install from DVD and it went quickly and smoothly. I am using it as my only os on this machine(no dual boot). When my machine is off and i power it up, windows developer preview screen appears and as the rotating dots appear, they stop motion and my hard drive activity light on my machine stops(system just hangs). I press the restart button on my machine and then it boots up properly. I have already checked boot device order and primary drive is numero uno.

Apex tx-381 case
Diablotek 400w PSU
ECS Mobo
AMD II x 3 3.2Ghz processor
4gb of DDR3 RAM
80gb 7200rpm IDE hard drive
Asus DVD/CD drive
Win8 Developer Preview OS

This could also be caused by drivers. Check that you have the latest possible drivers especially chipset drivers, also try disconnecting all external devices and see if that makes a difference.

What video card, and have you re-installed the driver from safe mode?
